It will help tune into the cycles of Lady Luna...

The Balsamic Moon is the phase of the Moon cycle the few days just before New Moon.
The Balsamic Moon is also called the Witches' Moon and the Wishing Moon.
Witches traditionally put people "on the air" for healing now.
Healing comes through empathic feeling at this pivotal time of the Moon's cycle.
Just think of the person you wish to heal and feel their need.
As you feel so will you heal. Deep feeling promotes deep healing.
This is a Witches' Moon tradition.

Wishes made at Balsamic Moon are also more likely to come true
because of the depth of invocative feeling now.

And there is no Balsamic Moon more powerful than this one in deep, dark Scorpio.
This is the classic Witches' Moon.
The more a need is felt now the more invocative energy goes into the beginning Moon cycle
and the more likely will this core need be fulfilled.
Fulfillment comes at the Full Moon in response to what is seeded at the New.

The Balsamic Moon will be visible as a very small crescent in the eastern sky
a half hour or so before Sunrise the following morning.
Make a wish!
The Moon rules the ocean and the Moon rules emotion.

The Balsamic Moon is the close of an old emotional cycle.
What is needing to be let go on a personal level and
what is needed to be released from the world now comes to the forefront.
Remember that off emotions will more likely come up now.
What is wrong becomes more obvious.

During this time we are much more likely to feel
what our true needs are and this can be good.
This is not the best time to solve a problem but it is the best time to be aware of it.
The more deeply we feel what we need now the better.
The more deeply a need is felt at the Balsamic Moon
the more likely will it be fulfilled when the Full Moon comes.

The day before the New Moon is the day considered ideal for
house cleaning and psychic clearing.
It isn't particularly good for anything else.
This is a day best suited for going within, an evening better for staying home.
It is ideal at this time is to

finish up old business and prepare the home and work space for a new lunar cycle.

Witches traditionally clean house the day before New Moon.
Each room is cleared by sweeping clockwise round it using a straw broom.
The wooden handle of the broom is understood to channel psychic energy through it
and the static charges generated by the broom straws dispel astral shadows.
Special care is taken to clear every corner where astral beasties may be hiding.

This way the home is swept clean of all undesirable influences and
the psychic space is reclaimed just before the new lunar tide comes in.

The New Moon tide is understood to energize whatever it encounters.
It is important therefore to let go what is undesirable
and put forward what we wish to have empowered.

The day of the exact new moon is called the Dark of the Moon.
This actual day of the New Moon is unfavorable for planting seeds or for starting new things.

It is usually best to lie low on the day of the Dark Moon.

The Moon cycle really begins energetically - and traditionally -
when the small waxing crescent first appears in the western sky.

Social gatherings and all new initiatives are highly favored after this time.
The night of the crescent Moon's first appearance is the time
when witches traditionally gather in their circles.

Happy Witching Season!
