KRONOS

Saturn, the master of Capricorn,
was also known as Kronos (lord of Time).
Revealed at first as an ogre and persecutor
who swallowed up his own children,
Kronos later reigned over a Golden Age
of great prosperity & happiness,
and gave agriculture, laws & tradition to humanity.

Said to represent the enduring power & integrity of Nature,
the divine, natural order of Earth and her cycles,
Kronos is not so much an independent masculine principle,
but rather the male polarity of the generative energy
over which Mother Gaia presides.

Time, Necessity, Long-term growth
Accomplishment and realization after many years.
The deep wisdom of experience, our ancestors, Wise Elders & Crones
Ancient knowledge & traditions, passed down thru the Ages

The yogi & the farmer know the fruits of their daily practice & labor
will come to maturity slowly, sometime down the road,
and there may be loss, delay, drought, sacrifice.
But Capricorn energy endures, wisely, patiently, with detachment.

Capricorn will be there long after the others have given up.
