What happens...

when SATURN, Lord of Time & Effort,
meets Leo, powerful & passionate beast?

when Saturn's Lead expresses through
the transforming rays of Leo's gold ?

when Ray #1 comes into force?

Saturn in Leo fundamentally asks for
self-integrity or integration of Will and the Solar Principal.

We are to take responsibilty for
our creativity and self-empowerment,
become co-creators of our "reality".

Tis, indeed, the season of the Lion-Tamer
One rides the wild one,
yet remains master of the beast.
Take care not to crush the Lion
or break this magnificent spirit.
take care not to weigh the Lion down.

Let the mighty Roar be heard,
let the Force transport you....

As Saturn moves thru a sign,
Awareness Arises
from confrontation with structure, reality, & limitations
(concerning the matters governed by that sign)
Saturn often manifests as a desire to master, work on, or excel at:

different examples:

THIS (the matters governed by Leo---see below) needs working on.
THIS is out-of-shape, is in sorry or sad shape,
needs discipline, needs some attention.
THIS feels important now.
THIS could be/should be mastered.
Look what I've accomplished here.
I'd like to accomplish something here.
I'd like to use THIS professionally.
My work needs more... of THIS.
I need to integrate THIS concretely!
I haven't been very serious/realistic here!
THIS is a bummer, a load, too heavy.
THIS feels pretty secure, stable.
The world is seriously fucking-up here.
Seriously, what THIS world needs now, is ....
etc...

By reading through the meanings of Leo and Saturn below,
you can let your imagination and intuition
guide you to an understanding of what this transit may be about...

So, what are "Leo matters" ?

Leo is governed by the Sun/Sol => the Solar principle:
all Soul/Sol making activities and realisations.

all things of the HEART
and heart-centered activity,
all that needs HEART more than head:

artistic activity & expression / creativity
play, fun, hobbies, vacation
sports, gambling, risk-taking
children & our inner child
love, pleasure, delight, passion
joie de vivre, joie de coeur

education
(the Heart-Passion aspect: awakening the sacred fire in the student)

heart, blood, arteries

all Royal & Golden things...
Queens, Kings, Divinity:
leaders, presidents, kings
bankers, jewelers
gold itself, at all levels,

our self-autonomy & self-leadership
empowering our divine self
will power, decision, organization

letting our self Shine
being heard, being seen
theatre, drama, center stage

all that is SOLAR, SOUL-AR, SOULFUL =>
soul-making, soul-crafting....
at its finest.

And what is Saturn?

structures and structure-building
durability, solidity, weight
(Saturn's metal = lead)
to test, try, examine
but also rigidity, inflexibility, hardness, heaviness

bones / knees / spine
backbone, resolution, determination
discipline, responsibility, will,
realism, dependability
"Reality", the concrete world

focus, concentration, reflexion, contemplation
but also one-sidedness, close-mindedness

time, limits, deadlines
maturity, old-age
but also degeneration, feebleness, inertia

square, straight, conventional
authority, institutions, government
but also fascism, regulations (constructive or not)

in alchemy, Saturn is the "blackening" process,
yet Saturn in Leo suggests the ultimate:
transforming lead into gold....

 

Here are some musings from eiLight, by no means complete or final,
just to give you a jump-start on your own musings ...

Saturn in Leo could feel like a load of bricks
landing right in our playground.
Instead of staring in dismay
at what seems like an impossibly heavy responsibilty to deal with,
right here in OUR sacred play spot,
why not build something with those bricks?
Something useful, solid, enduring.
Some creative project you've been wanting to accomplish.
Yes, it will take time.
Yes, it will take hard work & resolution.
Imagine clearly the results and satisfaction!

this is a testing & honing time for Leo energy

all those LEO matters
(passion, play, creativity, heart, kids, leadership, power, etc)
may become more serious
they may involve bigger responsibilty,
may now demand more time, focus, discipline.

Yet, if we haven't been paying attention to them,
their state of neglect may become painfully obvious to us now.

And difficult or heavy Saturn energies may be felt in Heart and Leo matters.

They will teach us, will help us grow.

We may be confronted with powerful energies or situations
that demand our authority, resolution, determination.

Saturn asks that we become
more realistic, mature and responsable
in the manifestation and expression of all Leo energy.

Saturn will tend to strip away the mask or drama.

Here we are to take stock of, pare down and hone.

These will be trying times, testing times for:

leaders, presidents, royalty, authority figures
"Father/Pope/Big Boss" in general
along with all Sun in Leo and Leo-dominant types

a load may be felt, difficulties, slowness, discouragement,
harsh criticism and resistance, too.
Leonine health, well-being, self-confidence, popularity
will be sorely tested.
There may be a "dying of the Light",
the ending of a Reign.

Lest we not forget:
this is a HONING & toning time.

We are being asked to cultivate
a better-quality light,
less ego-centric, more divine-centric.
the question :
Who/What is really the center of the world?
the mantra :
Keep the Love-Light burning...

Any weakness, lack of integrity,
or incapacity to Tame the Lion,
any over-compensation thru misuse of authority & power,
and any negligence of creative juices
will be rooted out, examined, held up to the light of day.

Any negative Saturn traits
(cultivating fear, conservatism, pessimism, rigidity, authoritativeness)

along with negative Leo
(self-centeredness, pride, domination, misuse of power...)

will be purged, pruned away, and even severely reprimended.

But, remember:

these same experiences will allow the emergence of:
maturity, wisdom, realism, fortitude.

On a positive note,
in a general awakening of this Saturn in Leo current, we :

may receive increased responsibility
as a result of leadership capacity or seriousness...
could initiate an important project ...
take on a daunting task, seemingly impossible until now.

may feel a pressing need to develop the Heart Center
or bring it into the professional arena.

may become a Parent....
children become the foundation.
